Design Experience that Matters: Handy Tools for Working With 3D Printers
Thanks Jeremy! We find that gluestick is still useful, even with a heated bed made of PEI. It's a function of using a relatively "high" z-offset on our printer. A low starting z-offset let to great first-layer adhesion without glue or blue tape, but the cost was a smushed and flattened first layer that made it more difficult to remove interior supports. Adjusting the z-offset upwards lead to better first layer print quality, but worse adhesion.
