A workday in the life of a young woman in England: Enjoy cutaway views of her home, follow her household plumbing through the water cycle, view Michael Pollanesque animations on her box of corn flakes. Take the metro to work. Ride an escalator in exploded view from the lobby of an office building composed of floating floor plans. Gaze at dancing pie charts. Quantify everything.

Allan Chochinov is a partner of Core77, a New York-based design network serving a global community of designers and design enthusiasts, and Chair of the new MFA in Products of Design graduate program at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
