Makita LS1019L Miter Saw
Dewalt DW700/DW707 based on the old Elu design had fixed rails and could almost be used against a wall.
Not that it would be on the same quality level, but here in Canada, Canadian Tire sells a sliding mitre saw under their store brand, that has fixed rails and a sliding motor
Thanks for this. I've been looking for a mitre saw upgrade for my tiny workshop, and this is definitely one to add to the list.
This saw looks extremely promising, the dust collection especially.
Thanks Creighton. I used to work with a carpenter who had a Craftsman machine that was essentially a miter saw size radial arm saw. I went looking for that on the web but could not find photos because it was from before the internet. Can't believe I missed seeing this newer model from Craftsman.
