Steven M. Johnson's Bizarre Invention #119: The Pedal Wash
#Juan Cano I first read about this in "Travels with Charley" by John Steinbeck published in 1962. If truth be known you could probably find similar tricks being used by the Conestoga wagon pioneers crossing the North American continent sometime during the 18th Century
I read a book about these hippies traveling through Mexico, forget the name. They would do their laundry by putting it all in a tub with water and soap, then strapping it to the top of their VW van and then going for a drive on bumpy side roads. Get back, clothes are all washed!
