An Interview with Atlis Motor Vehicle CEO Mark Hanchett and Lead Designer Ross Compton
Looks like they are wanting to make some design changes this summer. https://atlis.bamboohr.com/jobs/view.php?id=53
I’m glad Ross and Mark welcome comments..... both negative and positive about the design of the XT. I have emailed Atlis twice to voice my displeasure of the newer front end design. Not sure when it changed, but the front end design pictured in this post is by far the better design. Atlis changed the design due to no longer needing the air vents. But they drastically changed the entire front end design, and not for the better. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll get an Atlis regardless. But clearly, if you read all the blog comments on the Atlis blog, clearly the older design wins big time. Those are my thoughts as well as many others.
"We're very realistic in the fact that we'll build a hundred, then we'll build a thousand, then we'll continuously scale from there and scale as fast as we can." that is refreshingly realistic. :-)
They lost me at 'great big touchscreen'. Give me lots of ports to plug in every tool I own and an air compressor, and an optional diagnostic screen for when I feel the need to see what my battery is doing.
They didn't name the EV manufacturer I like, I better cry about it.
Not one mention of Bollinger's electric truck in the opener? Inexcusable.
For your reference we've got articles on Bollinger from 2017 and 2018 including an interview here.
Not on purpose Paul, there's also Workhorse and likely a few others cooking up EV pickups in garages somewhere as you read this.
