With a lack of creativity, people do not have the inspiration to live life to the fullest. From Out of Nothing aims to help people daydream again, encouraging exploration within the ordinary. Through creative problem solving, FOON disrupts users' mental routine and inspires play without judgment.

As people grow up, they lose their childlike sense of wonder and creativity. Self-imposed limitations and perceived judgements around exploration and failure brew a monotonous life.
The target audience for From Out Of Nothing is people aged 20 - 30. As people enter their 20s, the frontal cortex (which is responsible for problem-solving) becomes rational. This allows for better decisions, but makes people lose their divergent thinking skills. People who are over the age of 30 stick to their routines more and are less likely to try new things.
With a lack of creativity, people do not have the inspiration to live life to the fullest. They need the motivation to break out of their routine and appreciate the beauty around them. From Out of Nothing aims to help people daydream again.
From Out Of Nothing encourages exploration within the ordinary. FOON presents daily open-ended prompts to provoke a childlike sense of spontaneity and exploration. Users respond with multimedia storytelling, allowing them to explore outside of their comfort zone.
Users can collaborate with others in the FOON community to see from new perspectives. After sending their response, users can browse others' responses to see from new perspectives. Everyone is learning in the FOON community, so it remains a judgment-free space. Users can see their progress during the creative journey to stay motivated.
Paired glitches, or public works with a twist, are installed around the city. This peculiar version of "I-spy" promotes mindfulness and curiosity within everyday life.
Through creative problem solving, FOON disrupts users' mental routine and encourages play without judgment.
