Trailpod is the brainchild of an experienced team of designers who create world leading luggage and travel goods for businesses such as Samsonite and Pelican.
The team has combined their considerable experience in luggage design with new all-terrain wheel technology (Camba) to create a rolling holdall that performs in the real world of gravel, grass, mud, sand and curbs. Something that up until now wheeled luggage has failed to adapt to.
Camba's novel suspension combines a hemispherical wheel with a 'floating' independent axle system. The large footprint of the hemi-spherical wheel spreads the load so they don't sink or dig into soft surfaces. The floating axle allows the wheel to overcome obstacles that smaller fixed axles fail to manage.
Trailpod has three big Camba wheels so it's always stable, rolling whatever the obstacle and remains the right way up.
The pull handle is free to rotate, meaning no more awkward wrist strain caused by unstable two-wheeled bags with stiff, un-ergonomic handles.
The Therefore team has created a smart 60 litre capacity modular bag system that clips into Trailpod's rugged exoskeletal structure providing plenty of packing options. This includes a cool bag section which doubles as a general storage compartment, to keep food and drinks fresh. There's also a multi-pocketed bag for mobiles, tablets etc., plus adjustable netting for loose items or for when you need to separate wet clothes from the dry.
