CRAVT consists of four products that all support the concept of bringing back appreciation and value to the art of music and making it appealing to new generations. All items combined, CRAVT provides the user with an ultimate valuable and high-quality experience. To achieve a digital detox, the main items (Album, Speaker, and Remote) need to offer an analog feeling to retain the ritual experience of listening to an LP and require no additional device like a smartphone or tablet.
Translating the analog experience of putting on a vinyl into the digital world.
A new type of sound carrier
It has the audio files stored on it and a wireless connection to the sound system allowes for convenient handling while maintaining the analog experience, similar to placing an LP on a record player. Thanks to its durable shell it experiences no physical abrasion, leaving the audio files and internal components unharmed and therefore enabling a long lifespan. The concept has the social background of generating more revenue for music artists by creating an emotional value and connection between the user and the sound carrier.
A 360° Loudspeaker
It offers a dedicated area to place the sound carrier in a both convenient and esteeming position. It not only showcases the album, but also has the function of spreading the sound of the tweeter, that fires upwards against it, 360° across the room. The speaker contains high-end drivers for high, mid and low range, positioned to delivering a constant 360° sound. With its clean and non-distractive design, the speaker supports active listening and therefore a digital detox.
A non-distractive remote control
Like the speaker, the remote control supports active listening with a clean and non-distractive design. It supports the basic commands like play/pause, volume and skip via touch gestures. The handling is very intuitive and requires no eye contact. Additionally, the device is capable of displaying the currently playing song on a small screen, so the user has no need of using his phone and maybe get distracted by notifications, etc.
