Camilo Chaj

I am Camilo, a graphic designer who loves the process of design. I have a passion for illustration, which I try to incorporate into my design work whenever the project allows it. I was born in Guatemala, but currently reside in New Jersey. My interest in graphic design began in 2015, and stemmed from my interest in playing video games. I remember when I decided to create my own team and gave Photoshop a try. From logo designs, I started doing photo manipulation and I found inspiration in places like YouTube. One account in particular that was instrumental to me was @flewdesigns. Because of him I found out about the graphic design industry and fell in love with the field. I did not grow up creating or drawing as most designers do, but my devotion and the time I spent reading books, blogs, watching design videos on YouTube, combined with my college years, show my devotion I have for the craft and it is reflected in my work. When I am not working on my designs, I am playing video games, sketching, watching movies, or capturing the beauty around me through a lens.

Daniel Migliaccio

Hey, I'm Dan. I am a graphic designer that loves seeing design out in the world. Have you ever made a decision to buy something because of how it looks, I do it all the time. Design is all around us and I want to be someone to contribute to that environment. My love for design began with seeing t-shirt designs for skate companies, each and every one of them more unique than the last. I started designing icons and graphics for myself before college and decided to continue my education as a graphic designer. Now after years of understanding the craft and how design plays a huge part of our everyday lives, from benches to billboards and everything in between, it makes me fall in love with it all over again.

Emily McNally

My name is Emily, and I am a Graphic Designer and UX/UI Designer, as well as a Freelance Illustrator. My focus is in digital work, such as websites and mobile applications. Throughout my life I have always been fond of the arts and design of things around me, and growing up in the quickly evolving world of technology, it seemed only fitting that I get in on the action firsthand. Not only do I love graphic design on the desktop, I also love film and video games. It is interesting to see how with each form of technology comes its' own form of interactivity and emotion, and depending on how you interact determines the design itself. Whether you tap a screen with your fingers, use a controller to click a button, or just use your eyes to visually take it in, there is always a design to be interacted with, and that itself is why I love design.

KoalaKare Logo Progression
The objective of this project was to take a pre-existing logo (in this case, KoalaKare) and alter it to be used in a new context. With the Australian bushfires killing and endangering the Koala species, I decided to use the progression of the original logo to the new logo to show the suffering these animals have gone through.

Laura Feliz

Hi! I'm Laura Feliz, a graphic designer from Paterson, New Jersey. I was born in the Dominican Republic and moved to North Jersey when I was six. Ever since I was old enough to hold a pencil, I have been partaking in any creative outlet I could get my hands on. My introduction to graphic design was at thirteen when I pirated Ps CS3 (Sorry, Adobe ??) and spent most of my free time following design tutorials online. I majored in Graphic Arts at a vocational high school (shoutout PCTI) and then again at the College of New Jersey. It has been a total of eight years that I have been formally studying graphic design, and my initial passion has only strengthened with time. It's so exciting to be at the intersection of art and technology because there's something new to learn every day. My work consists of branding, motion graphics, web design, UI design, and a bit of web development.

Sammie Perry

I am a multidisciplinary graphic designer from New Jersey. I enjoy all areas of design but I am most interested in print and motion graphics.

When I first started designing I was so focused on aesthetics. I now realize that looks are not everything. The function of a design is so much more important than how it looks.

Further, I am all about sustainability. I want to make sure everything I create leaves positive influences on the world and humanity. In my free time, I enjoy yoga, painting, gardening, and spending time outside.
