OBD Contracts Employment Services with top Corporations
For Immediate Release

Washington, DC -- The Organization of Black Designers has contracted with some of the top corporations in America to provide referral of qualified African-American designers as job candidates. To date, OBD has contracted with: Nike, Mattel Toys, General Mills; Tupperware Corp.

These corporations pay an annual fee to have candidates for design positions referred to them from OBD's membership data base of 3,500 fashion, graphic, industrial/product and interior designers. The service is free to OBD members and is just one of many benefits of membership in the national organization.

Presently, negotiations are on-going with thirteen other corporate giants to provide the same services. "The development of these relationships are part of OBD's commitment to provide employment opportunities for our members and to educate corporate America to the fact that highly qualified Black designers are available for hire", says OBD Executive Director Shauna Stallworth.

The Organization of Black Designers is the first national organization of African-American design professionals.
