Yesterday MakerBot Industries announced their new Replicator, an upgraded 3D printer now featuring dual-color extrusion, so you can "print" 3D objects in two different colors.

The Replicator also boasts a larger production area—yielding objects up to 8.9 x 5.7 x 5.9 inches, up from the earlier Thing-O-Matic's 4.5 x 4.2 x 3.8 inches—without increasing the machine's overall footprint much, making it just six inches wider. Click the jump for video and more info!

A fully-assembled Replicator will run you $1,750, a pittance compared to the five figures you could spend on other 3D printers. Lead time is about six weeks.

DROOL. Its gonna be stiff competition between this and the CUBE. Whoever can get to a dual extrude 10x10x10 for under 3k WINS!
Where did you see that is the assembled price? They charge you a grand to assemble the Thing-O-Matic?
