Here's a sneak peek at some of the designs that graduate students will exhibit at London's "New Designers," July 12 - 15, 2007. This group of students from the University of Brighton, calling themselves "Design Minds," will present eco-friendly design concepts--ranging from sustainable materials to designing for reuse.

Some of the designs to look out for are Anna McConnell's "Table" re-design, a look at the way we can reuse old products by adapting them to our ever-changing lives; Becky Miller's "Je ne suis pas un robinet," a lighting fixture fashioned after a garden hose, that reminds us that both elements (water and electricity) are not as infinite as we perceive them to be; Eva Manchester's "Chair for Life," a project focused on extending the life of a highchair by making it adaptable as the user grows up from infant to adult; and Sebastiano Oddi's "Mange2," a picnic container made from moulded bread, allowing the packaging to be eaten along with its contents.
If your in London during July, be sure to check this exhibit out.
