Time to update our definitions. We find the I-Cone at the Cans of the Year 2006. This new container is the result of a close cooperation between Heineken and Boxal featuring the latest techniques and shaping processes as well as decisive material innovations.
Aluminum bottles for special promotions by beer and beverage companies seem to offer better marketing opportunities than glass. Also, they are lighter, have higher-definition graphics, cool faster and feel colder when handled.
This year's winner is the container for Coca-Cola's Blak drink, another bottle. Guess, if cans are being shaped as bottles then why not start shaping our glass bottles as cans - anyone?

We do indeed have those "can-shaped bottles" you speak of down here in the south... moonshine comes in them. (:
