Teams from Kohler, Brooks Stevens and Armstrong White stepped up last night in the first-ever Industrial Design version of the Cut & Paste digital design competition.

Last night was the 2D portion of the battle, with three designers getting 20-minutes to blaze out a blue-sky wristwatch concept in SketchBook Pro, under intense scrutiny from a panel of judges, a rambunctious crowd, and a crapload of media attention. Not sure if all the energy and the banging soundtrack helped or hindered these folks, but end results were impressive--check the video below:
Stay tuned for Round 2, where the teams take their concepts into 3D in front of a much larger Closing Night Party, but still only get 20 minutes--we better see some blindingly fast CV-pulling.

Wow! That's my son, Richard. That music would bother me but he seemed to like it. He was even smiling under all that pressure. When is Glenn's turn?
