Since 1977 Action Plagiarius aims to inform the public about the problem of fakes and plagiarisms and the negative impacts they have on not only the economy as a whole but especially on small companies and individual designers.
The applause just sounded at the Ambiente Fair in Frankfurt where the award ceremony of the annual Plagiarius competition took place.

Interesting note:
At the end of May 2006 Action Plagiarius plans the inauguration of its "Museum Plagiarius" in the city of Solingen (near Cologne). The exhibition will show originals and plagiarisms of all kinds of branches in direct comparison. Furthermore workshops and seminars on how to fight brand and product piracy will take place in the conference room of the museum.

Looking at the list of 'winners' tells me that plagiarism of design seems to be rampant in Germany and China.
