Featured Project : Perch - Flexible Seat
Carnegie Mellon student Henry Julier's seating design, Perch, highlights the natural flexibility of maple wood. On its own, Perch is striking in shape, proportion, and form, but comes alive with curves when someone takes a seat. Each slat supports up to 150 pounds, and seeing that there's a good amount of them, this seat should have no problem cradling your behind in simple, Scandinavian style. Julier designed Perch during a study abroad semester at Danmark's Designskole in Copenhagen, Denmark.
