Rubik's Cubes are colorful toys but playing the game is not just about seeing with your eyes, it also involves a lot of haptics. Industrial design students at the University of Zhejiang picked up this touch-aspect and developed a new cube concept, not with colors but with materials.
"There are six different basic materials involved. They are metal, wood, textile, rubber, plastic and stone. Different materials give people different senses, which thus enabled the blind men to play. And here we present the very example of this inspiration - the new Rubik Cube"
If games are about winning or losing then consider them winners since they have already been recognized with this year's IF Material Awards.

Its really a nice idea, Actually any idea that involve maximum number of senses (Multi-sensory) make more sense. Here only Tactile sense is involving but what would be the possibilities if one add more.
This is neat! But is it really that grotesquely large?
