Not exactly something you'd build with dad (carabiners are required!), but core-fave Inhabitat links to O2's Sustainability Treehouse. Doesn't hurt the tree; pick choice of recycled soda bottles or 3Form Ecoresin (natch). Best part is that it glows at night.
Talk about futureworld...Is this really better than banging up some leftover basement paneling?

Hey, don't get me wrong but I like Buck Minster Fuller he designed these to go around trees and be self containing little environment. The designer Dustin Fieder didn't do anything new or inovative with Fullers design. Fieders designs do not look like they are 100% recyclable or sustainable. How much do they weigh and how hard is it to assemble in the tree. Other than another ultra swank tree house why is this on core77.com website?
it's certainly better than cutting down the trees. i think it's brilliant.

Looks like a good idea, although just because something is built in a tree doesn't make it sustainable.
this is very unrealistic, what happens at the time of a storm, what abt rodents, and most of all, how the hell u think u are goin to get down. And what the age of the tree, hmmm... what abt water gas and electricity are u goin to get these from within the tree or what ..if a designer can come out with so many flaws, imagine what a critic with do to this idea ... CRAP, take it off from core.
Note: even BuckMinster Fuller created archs on the ground.
