What can you do with waste paper apart from filling up your dustbin? Jens Praet knows! One Day Paper Waste is a little table/console, obtained by taking shredded confidential documents, mixing them with resin and compressing them into a strong mould... End result: a new interesting object that has the strength of wood.
Every document tells a story. By shredding confidential documents, part of its information remains mysteriously visible. One Day Paper Waste gives new life to these documents, that's the real beauty of this product.

I's perfectly OK using those documents, recycling and all that, but coating the paper with resign ensures that it will remain on Earth for thousands and thousands of years. What's the point of re-using paper if you're turning it into a non-biodegradable plastic? I think it's a totally unsustainable idea.
I agree that the concept of giving new life to old documents is interesting, but mixing paper with an oil based resin kills all possibilities of recycling that paper, lets say that is not sustainable at all but is cool... what do you prefer?
I think its an artistic way to deal the thousands of clumps of shredded paper in our offices everyday but I'll have to agree with the other two who first spoke up...It's not recycling. I deal with shredding things everyday and I'll have to say that at least we (shredding services) send paper to paper mills to get re-used properly.
