Frank Rinderknecht is founder and CEO of Rinspeed - famous for its wild concept cars. zaZen is their new baby, jointly developed with Bayer MaterialScience, and will be a world premiere in two weeks at the Geneva Motor Show.
The name of the new concept car - "zaZen" - has been carefully chosen by Rinderknecht: "After all, Zen - borrowed from Buddhist teaching - is a special form of perception: You only get there if you are prepared to give up preconceived ideas."
This lightweight car of the future demonstrates revolutionary lighting technology and shows off on advanced materials including a huge floating transparent hardtop with a switch for on/off-transparancy. If you are around, definitely check out the transparent plastic seat shells fitted with Technogel upholstery, we just love the looks of it.
