Welding helmets have come a long way since the tin cans we used to wear in the metal shop; just have a look at Jackson Helmets' lineup, which meet ANSI standards despite their toylike appearance. And while we're not sure what message the "flame-licked" design sends to your fellow steelworkers, at least they'll never grab your helmet by accident in the locker room.

Just wanted to say thanks for the post of the welding helmets. I am the designer on these guys and have been trapped playing Design Engineer here. I am pushing for more aggressive helmet designs. Graphics are a good start... stay tuned.....thanks again!!
Hey I was just wandering if you can form a welding helmet to look like the head of optimus prime of the old 1980's cartoon show i think that would be worth buying and it would totally look cool
