Ever heard of a Holden Ute? The answer for most Australians is probably yes. Holden is an Australian subsidiary of General Motors and their "Ute" (Australian slang for "utility vehicle") has been in production Down Under since the '50s; pictured above is their new model, the VE, which can crank out up to 362 horses.
Although the Holden Ute is not intended for wide export outside the Australian market, the rest of the world may have the option to purchase another combination pick-up/sports car; according to a rumor from last month, Chevy may be bringing their El Camino back into production.

Does anyone else notice that the Big 3's pre-occupation with yesterdays designs mirrors their fall from power? It's like some desperate nostalgia for a time when they actually had relevance.
Stop looking in the rear view Detroit, this is a time when we need innovation and a total directional change in transportation.
The market will find it somewhere and it sure as hell won't be in the bed of a goddamn El Camino.
Totally disagree with macacanadian! Been waiting for - even begging for an El Camino. Owned a 70's vintage and owned and drove a 1984 for 14 years. A great vehicle. The drive of a car, but useful like a pickup truck! Can't wait!
