You can use a Mac and you can use AutoCAD, but you can't do both at the same time, not unless you're running Windows.
Thankfully that may change, if enough of you answer Autodesk's new survey "intended to gauge your interest and requirements for a new version of AutoCAD which would work on Apple's latest operating system and hardware." The survey's only eight screens long, so if you've got a hankering for a future Mac-based AutoCAD, hop to it here!

now why would anyone want to do that? CAD on a mac is like peanut butter and tuna fish.
CAD on a Mac GREAT!! But not AutoCAD! its so 1980's.
Now if it was Solidworks I would be all over it like a kid on cake.
If it would ONLY work on a map I'd happier. I can't stand ACAD and don't use Mac's. Not to say I don't like Mac's. Perhaps if Inventor could be ported to Macs, but Apple needs to start squeezing more graphical horsepower into their computers.
I agree with joss444, auto CAD is so dated and horrible to use. SolidWorks would be a really great addition for the Mac.
