Courtney Love and Hole fans will recognize "the girl with the most cake" as a lyric from "Doll Parts," off of Live Through This; but the line is also the name of a cake company run by artist/designer team Linda Bartlett and Amy Forrest. Their complicated creations, which look like they've been through a couple CAD revisions, answer the question of what cakes would look like as designed by a sculptor (Bartlett) paired with an industrial designer (Forrest). Form follows flour.

These cakes are nice, because they differ from the norm - but I think it is also interesting that a sculptor and industrial designer making cakes together would only address the surface treatments and colors, not the actual shape of the cakes - with the exception of a really awesome rat shaped cake, they're pretty much traditional cylinders... Hmmmm ...Mmmmm!
