At the recently conlcuded Grand Rapids (MI) Boat Show designer Joey Ruiter unveiled his new concept boat the Front Runner, a hydrofoil with twin forward-mounted 215hp jet-drive motors. the unique design allows the boat to run in extremely shallow water, and the jet drives also enhance the shallow water ability of the vessel. Additionally, it is all aluminum with no glue, a nod to sustainable manufacturing.

"it is all it is all aluminum with no glue, a nod to sustainable manufacturing"... you know how much energy is needed to create aluminum? I dunno if having no glue makes the whole thing then much more sustainable.
Nice renedering, however it will be real exciting if one of the two thrusters die, aysmetrical thrust anybody?
It sure does remind me of a pod racer from Star Wars Episode I :)
it's a damn pod-racer
That's an actual photograph, I believe- with the supports photoshopped out. Thing is built full size.
mad talent. . . big ups from oregon
Ok, people have got to stop throwing the word "sustainable" around all willy-nilly. When it is used in the description of a recreational boat with twin 215HP jet-drive motors, the word has lost all meaning.
how is that a hydrofoil? there's no foil! it would be nice if these designers for once had a good website, or at least had one.
AMAZING !
I have seen it move, its is like its alive, it articulates like a spider, beautiful, brilliant ! !
Hydrofoil spoiler is at the rear.
Designers like this are masters of the profession !
