While us consumers wait breathlessly to see Apple's forthcoming tablet, Fujitsu has one that's not only on the market, but already winning awards.
The Esprimo MA Tablet PC, launched late last year, has won an iF Product Design Award. Designed specifically for the medical field, the dockable tablet was designed to be easy to use and, more importantly, easy to clean, so as not to harbor germs. I wish that approach was applied to all portable computing devices; I love my MacBook Pro, but darn if this thing doesn't get filthy in the crevices, requiring careful cleaning with Q-Tips and alcohol.
