Surfers will tell you the experience of riding waves is well worth the preparation required, though that preparation is by no means insignificant: Readying your board, getting up at the right time, traveling to the beach, paddling out and jockeying into position amidst others to catch the perfect swells that Mother Nature has hopefully prepared.
