It's either an art project or the aftermath of a terrible motorcycle accident. Click here to see some crazy photos of this house with a hole bored all the way through it.

Super cool! Someone got a picture of this. I used to drive by it everyday on Montrose Blvd in Houston. While the pictures are nice, they don't do the actual "sculpture" justice!
Unfortunately, it was a temp project. The local artist community knew they were going to tear the house down so they turned it into a art project. It lasted about 6 months, maybe(?).
To the Houston community's credit... and so very unlike Houston... they built another artist workspace / building there that is actually pretty well designed.
It's an art installation done by 2 artists right before the house was to be demolished.
News article and many more pictures:

This was an art project in Houston about two years ago. It was some art group's house that was going to be torn down, so they turned it into an exhibit. You could actually walk through the hole in the house... it is long gone now and there is a new gallery and coffee shop built in its place...
Or possibly a conspiracy theory depending on the variety of accounts that explain what flew into the Pentagon a few years back :)
Looks to me like someone got their 1.81 jigawatts and hit 88 mph just a little bit too late...
