Yup, its true. I saw one of the R2D2's on Guadalupe St in Austin, Texas this weekend. It's even cooler in person.
I saw one of these mailboxes at Greensboro College yesterday, Greensboro, NC. It was very recognizable as I passed by at 35mph.
