Frankfurt-based product company Ivorilla's Jerrycan-based luggage is bound to stick out on the carousel.

The GasCase comes in both flip-top Zippo-lighter style and regular cabinet-door variants, and no, that's not shiny plastic--they're made out of steel, mounted on heavy-duty trolley wheels.

Modeling your luggage on something fundamental to the Do Not Fly list? Making the whole thing out of metal to confuse the scanners? Sounds like a recipe for TSA pawing through your underthings.
I was thinking something eerily similar to this but was going to convert a Jerrycan as a solo bag for my bike. The "Zippo-style" was exactly what I was going to do as well.
Every baggage handler's (at the airport, transportation, hotel) worst nightmare...steel luggage. It's hard enough to move the hard plastic 'Euro style" luggage, this stuff would suck.
