I'm not convinced it would work as a dustpan with that chunky lip, but I like the concept of Lufdesign's combination DustPan+Bin; simply flipping it 90 degrees changes it from one object to the other.
The demo photos show crumpled-up wads of paper being the target objects of sweepery, but that's not a domestic situation I encounter, probably because I'm not a tortured author.
Now what would be cool is if there was a slot in the dustpan lip connected to a hidden internal Dustbuster....

Cool idea! However, make the scoop part flush with the ground so it can collect small debris better. That and a rubber lip :)
Terrible idea! This is a classic case of what I call "attractively bad design".
