Just when we thought ostentatious wealth was passe and everyone in Manhattan was going to go back to modest means and four-story walkups, we were interrupted by the sounds of construction work taking place at 200 Eleventh Avenue. This new luxury development in New York City's West Chelsea features apartments with double-height ceilings, river views, and a jaw-dropping 15-space "En-Suite Sky Garage". This elevator system, the first of its kind in Gotham City, will recognize each resident's car as it approaches the building's entrance and then lift it, driver and all, to a private, 300 square foot parking spot in in the sky adjacent to the resident's apartment. Hummer, anyone?
