What is the friendly-looking device above, a Norelco shaver, or perhaps one of Sanyo's new camcorders? Nope, it's Taser International's new C2 Taser, capable of pumping 50,000 volts into an assailant at 15 feet. Released last month and designed to appeal to female consumers, the device comes in four "designer colors."
One interesting design feature is that every time it's fired, the C2 sprays difficult-to-quickly-clean-up paper confetti imprinted with the weapon's serial number, leaving behind a trackable trail of accountability to prevent frivolous use. And a feature that we find curious is that the magazine is good for "over 50 uses," in case you need to quickly put down a medium-sized company.
