"Newton's Breakfast" by David Asher Wilson
Despite being static, the object holds a narrative of potential consequence, drawn from our knowledge of eggs and Newton's cradles. Just by simply being observed, the cradle creates excitement through the low-level anxiety produced from the anticipation of the event that the object hints towards.

When the designer describes this work as "static" he really means it - this is a nonworking prototype, which I found disappointing when I encountered it in London during Design Week. So the photo is actually something of a sensationalist fraud, although some might grant "artistic license". Maybe it's just the bad boy in me but I really wanted to hear these eggs go click click click.
