Known for their Vacuum Jug and line of products for discerning coffee connoisseurs, Scandinavian design house Stelton debuted their Pure Black collection of knives at this year's NYIGF. Forged from a single piece of stainless steel, the knives have a beautiful soft black coating that ensures ease of handling. The 16.5 inch mounted knife magnet that complements the Pure Black collection is called Pure White. The glossy white magnet gives the illusion that the black knives are floating on its surface.

Wowww! Those knives are truly almost pieces of art themselves! I cant wait to try and get a hold of these and use them myself.
All my stainless steel knives are NOT magnetic, I wonder how they got their metal knives to adhere to the magnet?
Love the simplicity!
Great looking Knives. Any ideas about the coating, is it a powder coating and if so how thick is it? Will they still look good in 6 months time?
To answer gregeb's post about magnetic stainless, they likely used a 400 series stainless that is magnetic.
"The ferritic and martensitic stainless grades ('400' series) are generally free from austenite, have high permeabilities and so will attract a magnet. They are classed as ferromagnetic."
