Although Core77 doesn't usually cover pieces that are strictly "art," Boris Tellegen's sculptures draw heavily from both architecture and design. Dutch artist Tellegen aka DELTA was a pioneer of the European graffiti scene in the 1980's. His sculptures are the unison of physical versions of his graffiti tags and expertly drafted architectural drawings.

I love how Tellegen takes a room absolutely covered in construction materials and transforms them into cohesive pieces. The finished products are such a wonderful mish-mash of textures and geometric shapes. They feel like cross-sections of some insectoid piecemeal structure. The small permeations of light literally help to illuminate certain layers and levels within the structure.

Here's a video of Tellegen constructing one of his room-sized sculptures:

this reminds me of the graphics inside of Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" album, done by Hipgnosis.
I love the mingling of different disciplines of design! It has a quality that is both gritty and refined.
This is some really nice work. I'd love in my office.
The sketch with all those construction lines are sick!! I would love to see footage of his process.
