About a week and a half ago, we had a look at designer Jaineel Shah's clever pinch hanger. As is sometimes the case, the simple concept has inspired another hungry young designer to create his own version of an update to the old-fashioned clotheshanger: Rob Bye, a second-year ID student at Brunel University in London, sent us a link to his "Stretchless Hanger Concept."

It's at least as straightforward as Shah's design, trading the moving parts of the Pinch for just a little more sleight of hand in order to thread "Stretchless" through the first sleeve.

Clever bur, as it's predecessor, it suffers the weight of a heavy cloth.
Needs a supporting clip under the hook imho.
Still this one use significantly more material than Shah's design.
amazing. this kid is going places.
Am I the only person that reaches through and pulls the hanger through the bottom?
the muji ones work great too!

Cool design but i used to work at a clothing store when i was in college. We put the hangers in from the bottom of the shirt. its actually really simple.
It's nice, but I though people just inserted the hanger from the bottom of the garment...
Rendering looks great. How do you intend to manufacture it?
All these new hanger designs are ridiculous because knit shirts should always be folded. Even if it doesn't stretch the neck, any hanger will stretch out the shoulders over time.
Design for a problem that doesn't need solving!
Who hangs their t-shirts?
