Up above is Umbra's Grapevine Wine Rack, ACME's Step Watch and an awesome line of snap-together takeout containers and utensils inspired by macaroni and cheese and served at Mac Bar, a sort of Mecca for the NYC mac-and-cheese faithful.
All of these products were designed by Ran Lerner, the industrial designer who set up shop in NYC around 2003 and has been steadily cranking out quality work for the likes of Kikkerland, Nambe, Adesso, etc. ever since.
Judging by the press release we received, Lerner's doing a bit of PR push and his website is in revamp mode, with some sections still under construction; but it's obvious where his priorities lie, as the one section that's fully complete is his portfolio. Check out more of his stuff here.

Wow. I've eaten at the Mac Bar many times before and didn't know Ran made those clever containers. The fork and knife needs some work. They need to be more ridgid, cheese is a heavy substance.
Wow these designs are really cool but the designer is even kooler :j
