Nendo's minimal shoehorn for the Japanese company Maruni is carved from a single block of wood, held together with an embedded magnet ensuring the grain aligns, and weighted in the base allowing the shoehorn to be removed with one hand.

Designed to stand up while stored, the form is also a playful reference to the objects origins carved animal horns.
