Remember Thomas Ballhatchet's first run of the Hamster Shredder? After that initial post, Thomas received loads of attention from buyers, magazines, newspapers, TV shows, a zoologist who wanted to test it out, and even someone who wanted to put it on the side of a race car! He's now got a revamped version up on his site, but the best news of all is that it might actually go into production!
On a side note, make sure to check out Thomas' and his Central St. Martin's classmates' grad ID projects on this brand-spankin'-new site designed by the hamster man himself and his housemate, Jack Godfrey Wood.

It looks like the designer gave absolutely no consideration at all to the welfare of the hamster. That's fine when its a fun concept project, but I hope the product never sees the light of day.
Internal gearing = bad design.
The hamster will chew on the plastic gears.
I imagine the hamster going crazy with all the noise the shredder would make.
Neat idea though.
