When I first heard that Hammacher Schlemmer would sell an actual, working, street-legal version of the Lightcycle from Tron, complete with hub-less wheels, I figured it was a gag. Turns out it was real and the bike is manufactured by Marc and Shanon Parker, a/k/a Parker Brothers Choppers (who also built a BatPod modeled on the bike in The Dark Knight).
Set aside for a second the brothers Parker's claim that they designed the bike in "30 minutes:" How the heck did they get that hubless wheel to work? See for yourself:
