Coming straight out of design school, it's easy to be ignorant of the realities of the business world vis-a-vis product design. Luckily there are shows like the BBC's "Dragon's Den," a television program that matches would-be product creators up with a team of potential investors, and lets us see who--and what--makes the cut.
Although the well-received show is currently on hiatus, clips of winning pitches from previous episodes are up online. Take a look at how even great product ideas go through the wringer, and figure out if your own concepts have what it takes to convince the Suits with the cash.
