Check out the petals-based design of Milan-based Yoann Henry Yvon's Marguerite Bike Rack, intended to enliven boring streetscapes with a flash of nature-inspired color and form. Each petal can be tilted to either side on a pivot, and while we're skeptical of the spacing between petals--imagine trying to access a bike in the middle if this rack was full, for instance--we dig the concept and hope Yvon takes it further.
Yvon's Wave Bench, below, uses a similar form principle of movable tines, this time to create a sort of personal-space-defining backrest.
