The discussion is widening and receiving sketches from designers world-wide, so now is the time to submit your solution. neither will work, Think of the pressures we are dealing with, the device that is made has to one, Stop the Hydrolic pressure of oil, (not easy) and contain 50,000 gallons of it a day. A Rubber bladder wont stand up to the pressure of oil and water at a mile deep in the ocean. A containment boom all the way to the ocean floor would take to long to construct.
I think the first one should be in place all the time, before drilling even starts. Great ideas. Lets see if they use any.
Well, let's hope that is works. A interesting idea, we should implement this design. I wish I was smart enough to develop something like that. But all I can think of is all the animals that this problem killed. I hope BP continues to step up to the plate.
I like Robin Hoods idea of shooting flaming arrows at it.
