EI Solutions will soon implement a mass of "solar trees" into Google's Mountain View, Cali headquarters parking lot, using approximately one-third of the 9,000 solar panels needed for the entire 1.6 megawatt solar power project. Not only will these trees supply the complex with a healthy surge of energy, but they will also shelter employees' vehicles from the elements.
EI plans to apply these designs to residential markets by next year, proposing two and four-car prefabricated solar carports.

Love the idea. Couldn't this work over train station platforms as well as in the parking lots providing enough energy to run the station?
