It seems the folks over at Bunkspeed have been beavering away with hyperShot, their fancy real-time photorealistic rendering tool is already at release 1.2, only a scant month or two since the initial release. If you've not come across it, this system is incredible, allowing you to read in CAD geometry from a number of sources, apply materials, load a HDR image to achieve accurate lighting and watch it render is near real-time (obviously, that's hardware dependent).
1.2 sees the introduction of better support for texture mapping and decal application (although you still need to have the originating system define your co-ordinates for texture mapping), improved caustics (you know, the funky effect that transparent materials have on light as it passes through them), as well as a much better thought out workflow for saving materials to a custom library (one of the major short-fallings of the first release). lastly, the camera manipulation has been improved a lot, making it much easier to achieve the shot you want to create.
