French design collective Duende have used a technique that can transform human or animal milk into plastic by solidifying the casein content. The 'Perle de lait' range of jewelry will be on display as part of their collection of objects exploring the relationship of food between mother and child at La Cuisine. This takes the concept of bespoke jewelry to whole new level.

I work breastfeeding clinic with mom and babies in a hospital. I never saw anything like it. We all know breastmilk can make miracles but I did not know it can be made into jewelry. I�ve seen breastfeeding jewelry http://www.vandrjewelry.com but not jewelry of breastmilk. It�s funny, but is it real?
I recently saw this featured in a reputable German magazine (Oekoe-Test, like consumer report for green-leaning products). Any idea what the price range would be?
