Pictured here are some of the gorgeous vehicles you may recognize from Captain America: The Red Skull's flying wing airplane, his bad-ass car and a Hydra submarine. All were designed by Daniel Simon who, surprisingly considering these vehicles were only intended to exist in the movie, did a fair amount of thinking about the science behind how each craft would actually work.

Here in Part 2 of our interview with Simon, he explains what it was like transitioning from a proper automotive design studio into a Hollywood design studio, touches on the Tron vehicles he worked on, and reveals why each Captain America vehicle needed to be designed with some measure of scientific plausibility.
