Just a correction: this is actually called bicycle trials, a derivative of motorcycle trials ---> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bike_trials_riding
That's some good trials riding. I like Ryan Leech, but that stuff was impressive.
That guy is sick! If I only I had an ounce of his skills when I rode BMX back in the day.
this style of riding is called "trials", while the video has some BMX mixed in with it. trials is super-technical riding, focusing on balance and jumping. bmx focuses on 360s, tailwhips, and other tricks. however, there's a whole world of amazement in the bike world open for you if you thought this was sweet. freeride (what i do) is going big in the forests of canada and the pacific northwest - 40 ft jumps and drops and 3" wide planks ridden 15 feet off the ground, at its best (performed on freeride bikes with 7-9" of suspension travel in front and rear). downhill is another category; going down insane grades through rock gardens, roots, and huge drops as fast as possible.
watch this:

this is freeride.
It's Called Freeride.
Or Trials...
I used to skate, and was that kid that everybody thought was crazy cuz of the ish I tried... even I cringed through that entire video. This is effin' insane.
