Yasuhi Ishida presents the culmination of a year-long design research project as visiting professor at Woodbury School of Architecture. Produced during academic year 2015 - 2016, the work consists of a series of experiments with flexible sheet formwork for concrete to create a variety of structures. It aims to discover novel aesthetic potentials of the flexible sheet formwork technique and aspires to invent a design process that is informed by material behavior.
Join WUHO for the opening night event on Thursday, September 8, at 6pm. The exhibition will be on view until October 2, 2016.
